Exactly a decade ago on this day, ARCHIST®, INC. was officially born. To celebrate the 10th birthday of ARCHIST, we thought to share a bit about our name and logo.
You might wonder what "ARCHIST" stands for. It is a portmanteau of the two words "Architect" and "Artist", implying both the science and the art of [business] architecture.
We, business architects, are in a way artists too. Same as any other form of art work, it is not that hard to learn the core rules and principles of the business architecture discipline but it takes years to master the art of applying the discipline in real-life scenarios.
If you take a look at the Journey to Excellence in Business Architecture, you find that once you pass stage 2 of the journey, the rest is really about the art of business architecture, gaining hands-on experience and workings towards excellence.
And as for the ARCHIST's logo, it symbolizes a bridge to "cross" your journey to excellence with us. The top right part of the logo is an arrow symbolizing the growth upward.
